The Second Battle of El Alamein
The Second Battle of El Alamein tapestry shows telegraph and water supply lines along with roads, tracks and barrel marked routes. I make no apologies for the swastika free Africa Corp palm tree. The airborne units are shown by a slightly altered infantry symbol. It was decided to omit the allied mine fields as this would have become overly complicated and only show the Axis ones.
The colourful patches are roughly where they should be, but have been fit in to perhaps less busy but no less important areas of the design. The unique colour palate of this canvas can be a focal point to any sofa.
